Resources for Vets and First Responders

Love, Honor, and Respect!!

Being raised by a veteran, Dad was proud to serve and taught us the good values of life, country, and family!  Love hearing Dad talk about the great veterans he served with from scary situations to some downright silly stories.
Proud to be a veteran’s daughter!!!  On the last day of Dad’s life on this earth, he asked me to make some promises which I will continue to do. Here is one of the promises that I would like to put on my website, not just donating to great organizations, but spreading their good work for all veterans.

We would like to share some resources for our Great Warriors everywhere!!

Veterans Americans.gov   Our Mission: To fulfill President Lincoln’s promise to care for those who have served in our nation’s military and for their families, caregivers, and survivors.

Wounded Warriors – Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) seeks to improve the lives of millions of wounded service members and their families through direct programs in mental health, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care. In helping America’s injured veterans become empowered, employed, and engaged in their communities, WWP strives to ensure that when those who serve come home, they’re afforded every opportunity to be as successful as a civilian as they were in the military.

This foundation currently has seven programs. R.I.S.E. provides adaptive homes and vehicles, wheel/track chairs; Lt. Dan Band lifts morale for service members at home and abroad; Relief and Resiliency Outreach is for those recovering from trauma and in urgent need; Invincible Spirit Festivals are family celebrations held at military medical hospitals; the Ambassadors Council raises awareness; Serving Heroes feeds service members in transit at major airports.

Project Hero is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping veterans and first responders affected by PTSD and TBI while helping to achieve rehabilitation, recovery and resilience in their daily lives.

HirePuprose   Developed by veterans, Hire Purpose helps former servicemen and women transition from the military to civilian careers in the private and public sectors with an eye for matching the right talent with the right opportunity.

Folds of HonorFolds of Honor  – Providing life-changing scholarships
to families of America’s fallen or disabled military and first responders.

Due to past military asbestos use, many veterans now face life-threatening diseases like mesothelioma cancer. Since 2006, The Mesothelioma Center has been providing free support, resources, and assistance. This includes help with VA benefits applications and connecting veterans with a rigorously vetted list of experienced law firms that have a track record of successfully handling mesothelioma cases, and that typically provide free evaluations.
